Postpartum Care
Postpartum Doula Support for the Whole Family
Certified Postpartum Doulas Professionalism
Trustworthy, full screened, professionally vetted providers work with Boston Baby Concierge to provide the best support a family can need. This includes all our Certified Postpartum Doulas taking this standard of care to the next level.
A postpartum doula provides evidence-based education in relation to the postpartum period. This can include feeding, bonding methods, recovery from birth, soothing, general care, and more.
This style of care typically takes place during daytime hours to provide the best support to a transitioning family. During some applications of this care the provider may even support the home with family care tasks (like groceries, laundry, and light housework) to take the mental load of a new parent.
“Mothering the Mother”
This style of care requires being the guiding hands to support the new households’ transitions with a primary focus on the mother and their healing. This perfectly coincides with a parent present during childcare duties to guide rather than take control over the learning of this transitional period.
Though it may be an overwhelming period the goal of a postpartum doula is to bear the weight of that transition to bring some more peace and patience to a home.
