Certified Birth Doula

Boston Baby Concierge prides ourselves on excellent levels of care and professionalism. Our Birth Doulas provide such excellence because they have the extensive training and experience to be certified in their profession and the background to be highly screened and vetted to join our team.

These professionals provide nonmedical support during the process of a client’s pregnancy, labor, and delivery. The Certified Birth Doula works to create a custom care plan or “Birth Plan” with a client to know the wishes for their labor to reduce trauma and provide education and support through the process.

Support often looks like providing physical support with holding, massaging, or wiping sweat for the mother. Other comfort measures are to help with distractions, provide words of encouragement, or offer sips of water. Care by these professionals varies family by family as circumstances change, but should an emergency arise these professionals try to stay informed and support you with the education to make your best call.

The Process

Our Desire

Plan with Purpose

Creating a Birth Plan supports the family to have better knowledge and experience walking into their labor. It tells everyone involved you know what you want and your boundaries are firm.

Connection

You’re part of the process. Boston Baby Concierge Birth Doulas want you to have that comfortability that as a team you can handle anything delivery throws your way.

Education

There isn’t a single person in the world that doesn’t deserve to be educated in life’s biggest hurdles. Thankfully this is one hurdle that we can coach and guide expecting mothers in to ease the burden of birth.

Prevention

While it often goes unrecognized our team understands the importance of how traumatic birth can be. With education comes prevention. We can ensure we know how to limit this risk.
